Next EU-Ukraine Association Council expected towards end of 2018
17 September, 17:54The EU External Action Service (EEAS) reported in a press release that High Representative emphasised the importance of continued progress on the reform agenda, particularly in the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court, commending Prime Minister Groysman for his government's commitment.
Mogherini and Groysman "look forward to taking stock of progress in the implementation of the Association Agreement at the next EU-Ukraine Association Council". The meeting is not yet scheduled but EEAS sources say it should take place towards the end of this year.
The Ukraine's government reform action is key also in terms of the EU's Macro-Financial Assistance, EEAS points out. The EU Commission and Ukraine signed last Friday a Memorandum of Understanding for up to €1 billion.(ANSA).
