(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 28 - The economic growth in Slovenia is expected to decelerate to 3.7% in 2019 from the expected 4.4% in 2019, the national Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (Imad) said in a new report.

According to Imad forecasts, export growth in Slovenia "is expected to be somewhat more moderate this year and in the next, yet still strong." Moreover, "investment growth will remain high. Employment growth will remain high this year, before moderating in the coming years, mainly under the impact of demographic change." Wage growth is also predicted to strengthen in the next years.

The number of unemployed will decrease to 73,900 in 2019, down from 103,200 registered in 2016, 88,600 in 2017 and 78,500 this year.

The growth of private consumption (+2.6%) and government consumption (+2%) will remain high also in 2019. (ANSA).
