Slovenia: Mattarella congratulates Pahor on re-election
Head of state emphasizes excellent bilateral relations

(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA - After Sunday's victory at the second
round of the presidential elections, President Pahor has
received numerous congratulatory messages, including the one
sent by Italy's president, Sergio Mattarella, who expressed his
appreciation for Pahor's constant commitment to European
integration. Mattarella - news agency STA reported - underlined
the fruitful meetings held over the years and the strong
historical, cultural, political ties and economic relations
between the two countries, thanks also to the valuable
contribution made by their respective national minorities. The
message ends with the President's hope to further strengthen the
relationship between Ljubljana and Rome. (ANSA).
