(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 21 JAN - ''Our organization is increasingly
determined to intensify relationships between member states,
through shared initiatives and in order to promote regional
cooperation in an effective manner'', said the secretary general
of the Central European Initiative (CEI), Roberto Antonione, who
will be on a mission to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary
starting today, until Wednesday. According to a press release
issued today, Antonione will visit all member countries in the
coming weeks.
The delegation will participate in many different
institutional meetings, CEI said in a press statement, ''in
order to gather the views of all sember states and intensify
cooperation and political dialogue''. Among the topics of
discussion are the CEI plans and tools to strengthen the
financial resources available to develop multilateral
activities. During the missions to the member countries, the new
leadership of the CEI Executive Secretariat will also be
presented: in addition to Antonione, the CEI alternate deputy
secretary general Antal Nikoletti (Hungary), and the two deputy
secretaries-general, Nina Kodelja (Slovenia) and Zoran Jovanovic
(Serbia). In 2019, the CEI will celebrate its 30th anniversary,
''an important event to relaunch and enhance the role of our
organization as a key tool in relations between EU countries,
Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries''. (ANSA).
