EU-19: industrial production prices up 0.2 in December

Index up 0.1% in EU-28,in Slovakia some of the biggest increases

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - Production prices in the Eurozone increased by 0.2% in December and by 0.6% in November, that is up 2.2% over the year, according to Eurostat. In the EU-28, the index increased by 0.1% in December, by 0.7% in November. The year-on-year increase was up 2.4%. In Italy, the index remained stable in December, after increasing by 0.4% in November, recording a 2.2% increase over the previous year. The average industrial prices for 2017, compared to 2016, increased by 3.1% in EU-19 and by 3.4% in EU-28. The biggest increases in prices were recorded in Sweden (up 1.2%), Ireland (up 0.7%), Slovakia (up 0.6%) and Finland(up 0.5%), whereas the largest declines were recorded in Denmark (down 1%), Lithuania (down 0.6%) and in Estonia and Romania (down 0.3%).
