Canadian company Medgold Resources explores Southeast

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 22 - The Canadian company Medgold
Resources has discovered significant indicators of rich precious
metal deposits of gold and silver in the southern-east part of
Serbia, during explorations in areas at border with Bulgaria and
Macedonia, local media reported.
The company has found a 40 meter layer containing 8.32 grams
of gold per ton, and 193 grams of silver per ton, the newspaper
Vecernje Novosti reported.
Further explorations are expected after the signature of an agreement for a joint investment in the so-called "Tlamino project", in the area of Bosilegrad, between Medgold and another Canadian firm, Fortuna Silver, which will invest up to 8 million euros in the researches, the daily added. (ANSA).
