Mogherini says difficulties stay in Belgrade-Pristina talks

EU High Rep held just bilateral meetings. Next round in 10 days

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, SEPTEMBER, 7 - EU High Representative Federica Mogherini said that "difficulties remain" after a new round of talks between Belgrade and Pristina held this morning in Brussels. The outcome of today's meeting was negative. Mogherini engaged in "several rounds of talks with both" the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, and the president of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, but only "in bilateral format". Vucic renounced to meet with Thaci.

During the separate talks, Mogherini addressed "all issues on the table" towards the normalisation of relations between the two countries, reports Mogherini.

EU High Representative will convene a new round of negotiations in Brussels over the next ten days, before the UN General Assembly (scheduled for 18th September in New York), "to continue the process and reach in the coming months a legally binding agreement".(ANSA).
