Measles: death toll increases in Serbia, Romania

Serbian PM appeals against 'charlatans'

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - A 4-years old child, who had not being vaccinated against measles, died in Serbia from health complications, local media reported. In total, six people died from measles complication in the country, with almost 2,900 cases of measles reported. The Serbian prime minister, Ana Brnabic, appealed on parents to listen to doctors and vaccinate children, and not to "charlatans" campaigning against vaccines. In neighboring Romania, local media reported also that two kids, aged 8-months and 10 years, have died from measles complications. Both were not vaccinated. Since 2016, forthy people died from measles complication in Romania. (ANSA).
