(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 24 - Romania has signed a
500-million-euro loan agreement with the World Bank, aimed at
increasing the access to the primary health care system in the
country and its services, especially in less developed areas,
local media reported.
The program will help to improve coverage with primary
healthcare services for the under-served population, to reorient
the medical system towards efficient primary healthcare and to
increase spending efficiency, the specialized portal Business
Review informed.
"It is a program that will bring real benefits to patients,
as it will increase funding for family and community medicine,
including by equipping high-performing medical cabinets and
training primary medical staff," Romanian prime minister Viorica
Dancila said on Facebook, Business Review informed. (ANSA).
