Romania: study, export surpassing 70 bn threshold in 2019

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 11 APR - Romania could register this year
a record of exports, surpassing the 70 billion euros threshold,
according to a study of the agency Moneycorp, the specialised
portal Business Review reported.
"In 2018, the Romanian economy exported goods and services of over EUR 67.7 billion, up 81.3 percent as compared to 2010 (37.3 billion) and 8.1 percent above the level of 2017," the report said, quoted by Business Review. "Estimates regarding the evolution in 2019 shows a slightly more moderate growth than in the previous year, below 7 percent, to the level of 72.4 billion," the study anticipated. The growth of exports is lead by car and automotive construction, manufacturing, agriculture and software.
Manufacturing could contribute more than 30% of the volume of exports in 2019, while agriculture and livestock sector by over 6%, the study said. (ANSA).
