A decision has still not being made.

On November 16, Volkswagen announced a 44 billion euro investment plan for the production of more electric cars, e-mobility, autonomous driving, new mobility services and digitalization in vehicles and at plants through 2023. Under the plan, Volkswagen will convert two plants in Emden and Hannover to build electric vehicles, while the production of the Passat family will be moved to Kvasiny, in the Czech Republic, where also the built Skoda Superb and Kodiaq will be produced from 2023. "In order to serve growth in Europe going forward, the Group will be expanding its production capacity post-2022 with an additional plant in Eastern Europe," Volkswagen said previously in a statement, adding that the new multi-brand plant factory will be reserved for the production of the Skoda Karoq and the Seat Ateca, currently produced in Kvasiny. The new factory could employ between 4,000 and 5,000 workers, Bulgarian media reported. (ANSA).
