(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 21 MAG - The Romanian government will provide 2 billion lei, approximately 430 million euro, for the second edition of the so-called 'Start-Up Nation' program, launched last year for supporting new companies, the Romanian Business Environment minister Radu Oprea told the news agency Agerpres.

According to local media, the funding will be able to sustain about 10,000 start-ups, which will be able to apply for a maximum financing of 43,000 euro. The portal Romania Insider said that the funds will be used after carrying out the payments of the first edition of the program, to which 8.600 companies were selected.

The program covers also expenses for acquisitions of equipment, transport, salaries and utilities, creation of web sites and consultancy services. (ANSA).
