Poland: IMF, economy growing 4% in 2019

Sharp deceleration in 2020: 3%

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 16 OCT - The Polish economy will grow by 4% in 2019 down from the 5.1% recorded in 2018, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in its latest World Economic Outlook, the specialized portal Bne Intellinews reported, noting that the 2019 forecast has been revised upwards by 0.2% from a previous IMF forecast. IMF said that Poland and Romania will have an identical growth rate this year, while Hungary will lead in terms of growth in Central- and Eastern Europe with 4.6%. However, the Polish economic growth will sharply decelerate to 3.1% in 2020, the IMF added. (ANSA).
