(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The GDP in Montenegro will register a real growth of 3% in 2018, according to new forecasts of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses (ISSP).

The forecast is based on macroeconomic model developed in cooperation with KOF Swiss Economic Institute, ISSP said in a statement. According to ISSP, the GDP growth in Montenegro in 2018 will be less strong than in 2017, in particular due to the slow down in the investment activity, which will nonetheless remain strong.

The ISPP forecasts are in line with the recent World Bank projections for Montenegro. According to the World Bank, the real GDP growth in Montenegro was 4.3% in 2017 and it will be 2.8% in 2018 and 2.5% in 2019. (ANSA).
