EU signs a declaration on e-government with Eastern parnters
Andrus-Gabriel, progress to modernise public administrations
07 October, 10:15The Tallinn Declaration marks "serious progress" to "modernise public administrations in Europe, which is an important boost to the digital economy and society", EU Vice-President Andrus Ansip and EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel wrote in a joint statement.
Citizens and businesses will benefit from the eIDAS regulation when the formal notification will be completed as well as from the full deployment of efficient digital public services. "All Europeans should be able to access online services in other Member States just as they do at home and electronic transactions have to become significantly easier in the internal market", Ansip and Gabriel pointed out.
Ministers of EU Member States and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine signed another declaration to deepen their cooperation in six priority areas of the digital economy. (ANSA).
