Stoltenberg asks to complete all procedures agreed with Greece

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 1 OTT - After the result in Macedonia's
referendum on changing the country's name, NATO Secretary
General Jens Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter "#NATO's door is open,
but all national procedures have to be completed".
"I welcome the yes vote in Macedonia referendum. I urge all political leaders & parties to engage constructively & responsibly to seize this historic opportunity", he added.
Macedonia officially started NATO accession talks on July, 25th, this year. Previously that month, the leaders of the Alliance sent their invitation to Skopje to open the negotiations. Skopje's entry depends on the full implementation of the deal with Athens which requires constitutional amendments in the Macedonian Constitution.(ANSA).
