(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 04 APR - Slovakia - followed by Lithuania, Greece and Turkey - is the country in the OECD area where workers could risk the most to lose their jobs in the future, due to the adoption of new automation technologies, the specialized portal 'Business New Europe' (Bne) wrote in an article based on a OECD 'working paper' on automation. The study, published last March, has analyzed how new technologies and artificial intelligence could impact on the labour market in 32 OECD countries.

According to the study, BNE reports, 33% of all jobs in Slovakia is "highly automatable," while in Norway this is the case with 6% of the jobs; in average, about 14% of jobs in OECD countries analyzed are highly automatable. Among the 32 OECD countries analyzed, the median job is estimated to have a 48% chance of being fully or partly automated, a percentage that increases to 62% in Slovakia, a country with a large automotive industry.

Similar percentages to those registered in Slovakia were recorded also in Lithuania, Greece and in Turkey. In Central- and Eastern Europe there is a relatively high risk for workers in Slovenia and Poland, BNE noted. (ANSA).
