Work: young unemployed in Estonia, Croatia ready to relocate
In Romania, 37% willing to move inside their country
27 March, 17:15According to Eurostat data, the highest share of unemployed people aged 20-34 ready to relocate to another EU country were recorded in 2016 in Estonia and Croatia (both 26%) and Slovenia (25%). High percentages were registered also in Bulgaria and Slovakia (23%), Lithuania (22%) and Hungary (20%).
The highest share of young unemployed ready to move their residence place for a job inside their country were registered in Romania, 37% together with Germany.
Eurostat noted that, at EU level, 50% of unemployed people aged 20-34 are reluctant to change their place of residence for a job, 21% are ready to move for a job in the same country, 12% would consider moving to another EU country; 17% would be ready to move for a job outside the European Union.
