Increasing turnout is 'good' for democracy
07 October, 19:50The Self-Determination (Vetevendosje) party took first place in early parliamentary elections on Sunday, with 25.7% of the vote and 95% of ballots counted, according to the election commission in Pristina.
"Yesterday was a good day for democracy in Kosovo. Voters came out in larger numbers than in 2017 to cast their ballot and make their voice heard", the spokesperson added.
The prelimnary assessment of the EU Election Observation Mission on the correct conduct of the voting process is expected to be published tomorrow. (ANSA).
