(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 09 OTT - More than 40% of Serbs do not support the idea of 'separating' Serbia from Kosovo, according to a new survey of the Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID), Serbian media reported. According to the poll, 44% of the respondents said that the separation of Serbia and Kosovo is not a solution for the complicate issue of the Belgrade-Pristina relations.

The survey show also that the support towards the ruling Progressive Party (SNS), led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, remains very strong. If election were held today, the SNS would gain 53.3% of votes, while the Socialist party of Serbia, the SNS coalition party, will get 8.8%. The Alliance for Serbia, a new opposition coalition, is projected at 15.3% of the votes. (ANSA).
