Serbia: Army on alert for tensions in Kosovo
Extraordinary meeting of the National Security Council

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, AUGUST, 5 - The Serbian Army have raised
the level of alert throughout the territory because of the
tensions in Kosovo, Vecernje Novosti reports.
According to the newspaper, after an extraordinary session of
the National Security Council held yesterday, security services
also intensified their activities in order to prevent "the plans
of the Pristina authorities to provoke riots in northern
Kosovo", populated by an ethnic Serb majority. (ANSA).
