(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 7 - Hungary and Russia have agreed to change some conditions of the loan agreement for the expansion of the Hungarian nuclear power plant Paks, the specialized portal Bne Intellinews informed, quoting reports on local media.

According to the reports, "Hungary will start repaying the loan once the two blocks are connected to the grid and begin production." Russia is financing 10 billion euros of the 12.5 billion project, Bne Intellinews recalled, adding that the two "new blocks were supposed to start operation in 2025-2026, but that deadline will certainly be missed," due to delays in the realization of the project.
