Economy: Central-Eastern Europe still growing fast
But Commission’s forecasts indicate easing in growth
09 November, 09:16The growth will continue however to be higher than the EU average in the major economies in Central- and Eastern Europe, data from the Commission's forecasts show. According to the forecasts, Poland will record a GDP growth of 4.8% this year, 3.7% in 2019 and 3.3% in 2020. The economy in the Czech Republic will grow 3.0% this year, 2.9% in 2019 and 2.6% in 2020, while in neighboring Slovakia the growth is expected to be 4.0% in 2018, 4.1% in 2019 and 3.5% in 2020.
Hungary will register a growth of 4.3% in 2018, 3.4% in 2019 and 2.6% in 2020. The Romanian economy will expand 3.6% this year, 3.8% in 2019 and 3.6% in 2020, according to the European Commission forecasts. (ANSA).
