(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - Unemployment in the eurozone remained
stable at 9.1% in July compared with June, recording the lowest
rate since February 2009. In July 2016, the rate was 10%,
Eurostat reported. In EU-28, the rate remains stable at 7.7%
over the previous month, down from 8.5% in July 2016. The
lowest unemployment rate in July was recorded in the Czech
Republic (2.9%), Germany (3.7%) and Malta (4.1%). In July, the
highest rates were recorded in Greece (21.7% in May) and Spain
(17.1%). In Italy, Istat confirmed, the rate rises up to 11.3%,
recording an increase by 0.2% since June (ANSA).
