Greece: approved strategic projects worth half a bln euro

Athens uses preferential lane for investments

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Greece approved four new investment projects worth a total of nearly half a billion euros, Ekathimerini web portal reported. The projects will be implemented through a preferential lane that involves accelerating the procedures, as decided by the Ministerial Committee for Strategic Investment.

The projects have a total value of 464.5 million: a luxury resort complex on the island of Skorpios (120 mln), a cultural and business park at Halicarnassus in Crete (69.3 mln), a photovoltaic plant (213.8 mln) and a Vodafone latest generation phone network (61.4 mln). So far, the fast track was guaranteed to thirteen projects.

Ten of them have already obtained the license: the total budget is 2.65 billion euro. (ANSA).
