Lufthansa: first-half revenues up 5.2%, profit stable, 677m

Number of passengers hits record, 67m. CFO, 'strong growth'

(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 31 - At the end of the first semester of 2018 Lufthansa recorded 16.9bn of revenues, which increased by 5.2%, in line with the previous year's level, an adjusted EBIT of 1.008m and a net profit stable at 677m (from 672 in the same period of the previous year), according to a press release issued by the German Group. In detail, traffic revenues in the first six months amounted to 13.2bn (up 7%). The number of passengers carried in the first six months hit the record high of about 67m. All these data highlight ''a strong growth and a simultaneous improvement in unit profits. Achieving both these goals at the same time is a significant success'', Lufthansa CFO Ulrik Svensson underlined.

Given these results, the group confirmed all the goals for its business in 2018. (ANSA).
