Doc FVG in Munich, Bavaria, from 27 to 28 November
Tastings and a FVG/Land Bayern bilateral meeting
26 November, 16:21''The new Doc offers an opportunity to deal better with the domestic and foreign markets - said the Regional Councillor for Agricultural Resources, Cristiano Shaurli -, by team working on an easily identifiable brand, which can be linked to our area.
Doc FVG is a trademark - the councillor added -, which enables us to present ourselves as a unified system, while respecting the differences, which is one of the reasons for the fascination our regional winemaking sector has on everyone''.
''In Munich a new adventure begins, with the best wishes'', said Pietro Biscontin, chairman of the Doc-FVG Consortium -; this project has a huge potential to grow and it can certainly have an international appeal''.
In the Bavarian capital city, therefore, the Doc Friuli wines will be on display, with a focus on the establishment of the Doc Friuli Venezia Giulia, but without forgetting the peculiarities of the ''historical'' Docs.
The event will begin on November 27th at 5pm, with a tasting led by Jens Priewe (one of the best-known wine journalists in Germany) of 8 wines of the Doc Friuli (dedicated to buyers, importers, distributors and sommeliers). In Bavaria there is such a big interest in FVG's wines, that all available places have already booked. Then, at 6.30 pm, a press conference moderated by Monika Kellermann (author, she has been writing books on wines and food or over thirty years) on the Doc Friuli, which will end with a tasting of Doc Friuli wines, along with wines from ''historic'' Docs (dedicated to a selection of food and wine journalists).
A bilateral meeting between a delegation of regional institutions and representatives of Bavaria implementing the deal signed in Trieste by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Free State of Bavaria on 4 May 2016 will be held on November 28: the meeting will focus on appellations, irrigation and land management, and will be held at Bayerische Landesanstalt fuer Weinbau und Gartenbau, the Bavarian state institute for viticulture and horticulture.
