Fvg-Czech Rep.: Fedriga, new fertile ground for businesses

Governor, Italian exports equal to 6bn euros a year

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Chamber of Commerce and Italo-Czech Industry (CAMIC) opened a collaboration path in order to promote contact and possible co-operation between regional companies in the Czech Republic, aiming to establish a specific and recognizable FVG brand for businesses and quality products.

The collaboration initiated in Prague, at the Italian Embassy, during the meeting between the governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga, the Italian ambassador in the Czech capital, Francesco Saverio Nisio, and the CAMIC delegation led by President Gianfranco Pincirol, the FVG Region reported.

''The Czech Republic is a reference market for our economy - Fedriga said -, since Italian exports amount to 6 billion a year and is constantly increasing. We are ready to set up work tables with the aim of developing sectoral channels to guarantee our companies preliminary information and a structure where the best opportunities for mutual interest will be created''.

In this regard - the FVG Region reported - research and innovation are at the top of the list for the Czech Republic, which has a favorable tax regime and an unemployment rate of just over 2%. The Chamber of Commerce and of the Italo-Czech Industry, explained the general secretary Matteo Mariani, can rely on over 400 member companies and is an active entity within an appreciated Italian network.

The two-days of Friuli Venezia Giulia in the Czech Republic - the FVG Region reported - will continue in Jihlava, the capital city of the Vysocina Region. A protocol of collaboration with this region, dating back to 2006, will be upated and reactivated. (ANSA).
