Croatia: World Bank raises forecast for 2019

Economy will grow 2.9% this year

10 October, 13:37
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCTOBER 10 - The World Bank has raised its projections regarding the growth of the Croatian economy by 0.4% from the previous forecast made public in June, the Croatian public television HRT reported.

According to the World Bank, the Croatian GDP will grow by 2.9% in 2019, driven mostly by consumer spending, facilitated by growth in wages and employment. However, the World Bank warned that the growth in Croatia will slow in the next two years due to a possible downturn in consumption and investments and weaker foreign demand, HRT added. (ANSA).
