(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APRIL 17 - German companies operating in Croatia are disappointed by the business climate in the country, a survey of the German-Croatian business association revealed, local media reported.

According to the survey, only 54 percent of German companies currently in Croatia said that they would embark on another investment in the country today, down from 68 percent in 2018, the regional N1 Tv informed. Moreover, almost 60 percent of companies interviewed described the state of Croatia's economy as "bad." Among the problems that companies underlined, the country's "inefficiency in tackling corruption, the overall tax burden, as well as the inefficient and complicated tax authority and tax system," N1 reported, adding that the positive sides of Croatia are "EU membership, good infrastructure, workers' qualifications and good education."
