(ANSA) - SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 5 - There was no flag of
Republika Srpska (Rs, the Serbian majority entity of
Bonsia-Herzegovina) in the hall, therefore Milorad Dodik,
Serbian member of the Bosnian tripartite presidency and current
chairman of the institution, abandoned today an official meeting
in Sarajevo, local media reported. Dodik, along with his
colleagues in the presidency, Croatian Zeljko Komsic and Muslim
Sefik Dzaferovic, was taking part in a meeting with a delegation
of the Executive Committee at the level of political directors
of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC). The Bosnian Serb
leader, who is known for his autonomous and nationalist stances,
after his election as a member of the Tripartite Presidency last
October, reiterated the request to see the Serbian entity flag
displayed in public meeting places in Sarajevo.
The political directors of the PIC Executive Committee, an
institution which includes representatives of 55 countries and
international agencies involved in the implementation of the
Dayton peace agreement that put an end to the war in Bosnia
(1992-95), are takin parte today in a two-day meeting to
evaluate the situation in Bosnia and the challenges facing the
country. (ANSA).
