25 February, 18:47
(ANSA) - SOFIA, FEB 25 - By the end of next July, Bulgaria should enter the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM-2), the so-called 'waiting room' before entering the eurozone and the banking Union, prime minister Boyko Borisov told the journalists, cited by the Sofia-based media.

According to Borisov, at the end of 2019, the unemployment rate will fall below 5%, whereas the situation with regard to illegal trafficking and smuggling will be much better than now.

Bulgaria began preparations to enter the ERM-2 in July 2018.

According to the finance minister Vladislav Goranov, the country will not be able to adopt the euro until 2022. (ANSA).
