Bulgaria: survey, 60% think EU policy favors peace

Only one citizen out of 5 trusts US foreign policy

(ANSA) - SOFIA, FEB 21 - According to 60% of Bulgarians, the EU's foreign policy is a stabilizing factor for the world's peace, whereas 16% believe the opposite. That is the outcome of a survey conducted by the polling agency Gallup International and published today in Sofia.

With regard to Russian foreign policy, 43% of Bulgarians consider it peaceful, whereas 27% perceive Moscow as a threat to global peace.

According to 56% of Bulgarians, the US peace policy is controversial and only a fifth of respondents trust US foreign policy. As for China, over 52% of Bulgarians have said they could not assess Beijing's foreign policy. (ANSA).
