Bulgaria: media, four interested in Belene nuclear plant

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Four foreign companies have expressed
interest in participating in a bid to construct the nuclear
power plant of Belene, in Bulgaria, the news portal Balkan
Insight wrote.
The Energy committee of the Bulgarian parliament announced the names of three of the companies last week, Balkan Insight said. The companies are the Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), the Russian Rosatom and the French Framatome. The fourth name was not made public by the authorities in Sofia.
Balkan Insight recalled that the Bulgarian Parliament is expected to vote by the end of this week to lift a 2013 moratorium on the construction of Belene. (ANSA).
