Western Balkans: roaming charges cheaper from today

An agreement promoted by the EU enters into force

01 July, 21:03
(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 01 JULY - Roaming tariffs for the Western Balkans region are now being cut: for the citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, the costs for calls and traffic data in the region will see a substantial reduction. The regional agreement was signed on April, 4th, in Belgrade, and it’s promoted by the EU Commission. Starting today, citizens and businesses from the six countries of the Western Balkans will therefore pay less while using their mobile phones when they are in a country other than their own in the region. In roaming mode, calls will be up to 8 times cheaper and data traffic costs will drop from 20 cents to 3 euros per megabyte.(ANSA).
