Balkans: World Bank, 3.2 percent growth in 2018

Strongest in Kosovo, less in Macedonia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 11 APR - The World Bank made public new growth forecasts for the Western Balkans in its latest World Bank Regular Economic Report.

For 2018, the GDP growth is forecasted at 3.6 percent in Albania, 3.2% in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4.8% in Kosovo, 2.3% in Macedonia, 2.8% in Montenegro and 3% in Serbia.

For 2019, the World Bank forecasted a 3.5% growth in Albania, 3.4% in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4.8% in Kosovo, 2.7% in Macedonia, 2.5% in Montenegro, 3.5% in Serbia. In its latest World Bank Regular Economic Report, the World Banks lowered the growth forecast for the region to 3.2 percent in 2018 and to 3.5 percent in 2019 from the 3.3 percent and 3.6 percent forecasted in a previous report in November 2017.
