(ANSA) - UDINE - According to EU Commissioner for Education,
Tibor Navracsics, '' the Western Balkans Summit in Trieste was a
success in terms of enlargement prospects for eastern Europe,
and one of the results is the future enlargement of the Erasmus
program for student mobility, which is very important if we want
to build a stronger European youth''. The EU Commissioner, today
in Udine where he attended the 13th International Forum of
Aquileian Euroregion, organised by Mitteleuropa association,
reported that in his recent visit to Belgrade, where ministers
for education and youth from the Western Balkans met, ''we
celebrated the anniversary of the foundation of the Erasmus
program and at the same time we talked about the prospects for
enlargement through Erasmus Plus, which already includes
non-member countries like Serbia, Macedonia, whereas other
Western Balkan states - he said - are eager to participate in
this project''. (ANSA).
