Austria: Erste, 2Q GDP revised downwards
Private consumption remains main driver of growth

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 25 - The Austrian GDP grew in
the second quarter of 2019 by 1.5% year-on-year, less than
previous estimated (1.7%), according to data from the Austrian
Institute of Economic Research, Erste Group Research said today.
The first quarter data has been revised upwards from 1.5% to 2.0% year-on-year, Ersted added. The quarter-on-quarter growth amounted to 0.5% and 0.3% in the first and second quarter correspondingly. Private consumption remained the main driver of the economic growth in Austria, while investments weakened compared to the previous quarters but still expanded at 0.5% q/q, Erste said. (ANSA).
