(ANSA) - MILAN, SEPTEMBER 24 - Snam, Snam's subsidiary Tag
and the Austrian energy group OMV signed a memorandum of
understanding to enhance sustainable mobility with liquefied
natural gas (LNG) in Austria. The agreement, a joint statement
reads, aims to explore opportunities for liquefied gas in the
transport sector in Austria, including the potential
construction of a small liquefaction plant and the development
of the market and supplies in the country.
"Through this collaboration we want to promote sustainable
natural gas mobility in Austria, leveraging our successful
experience in Italy. Our country has the largest number of
compressed natural gas (over 1,300) and liquefied (over 50)
distributors in Europe and Snam is investing to further
strengthen the network," said Snam CEO Marco Alverà.
