(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 20 JUN - Various buildings at the historical spa resort of Baile Herculane, in the western part of Romania, will undergo a refurbishment thanks to EU funds, the portal Romania Insider wrote today, quoting information from the daily Adevarul. The works, which will focus also on three bridges on the river, will have a total value of 3.25 million euros. They are expected to be completed in 15 months. Restauration works will also be carried out at the historical Neptun Baths, currently in degraded state, but one of the most prestigious during the Austro-Hungarian epoch, "built towards the end of the 19th century, under the guidance of the architect of the Vienna imperial court," Romania Insider recalled. The mineral springs in Baile Herculane are known and used since Roman times. (ANSA).
