Balkans: Borrell, no doubt about EU enlargement
'Zagreb 2020 will be a decisive moment for the Balkan region'

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - "There can be no doubt about the EU
enlargement policy and the European perspective for the Western
Balkans," said the new EU High Representative, Josep Borrell,
during his first hearing in the European Parliament before the
Foreign Affairs Committee.
"The Zagreb Summit" between the EU leaders and Balkan partners, in May 2020 "will be a decisive moment," underlined Borrell. Then he recalled that in the coming months the Union would have to "maintain the political momentum" towards the Balkan region. "I guarantee my strong personal commitment," added Borrell. (ANSA).
