(ANSA) - Rome, March 14 - The 'Golf in schools' project was
presented this week in Rome at the Istituto per il Credito
Sportivo (ICS), a public bank that finances sport and culture.
The initiative is kicking off under the patronage of the
Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), thanks to an agreement between
the Italian Golf Federation and ICS.
Under the project, a total of 102 classes from 34 elementary
schools across Italy will learn about golf.
Each class will have a total of three hours of lessons a
week, organizers said.
The initiative is part of the project for the 2022 Ryder Cup,
which will take place in Rome.
The president of ICS, Andrea Abodi, and the director general
of the project Ryder Cup 2022, Gian Paolo Montali, attended the
presentation in Rome.
