(ANSA) - Rome, March 11 - Italy's Francesco Molinari
continued his remarkable run of form by wining the Arnold Palmer
Invitational on Sunday, having surged up the field from 17th
place to claim victory.
The 36-year-old is on fire after an outstanding 2018 season
in which he won European Tour's Race to Dubai, became the first
Italian to bag a major when he triumphed at The Open and was the
driving force of Europe's victory over the United States in the
Ryder Cup.
"I hope he is looking at us and is proud of what we managed
to do," said Molinari referring to Palmer, who died in 2016,
after Sunday's win.
"It's always a pleasure to take part in this tournament and
winning it is truly special.
"And (now) I know I can register low scores on every golf
course".
