(ANSA) - Rome, March 8 - The Arnold Palmer Invitational on
March 7-10, one of the most highly anticipated tournaments of
the PGA Tour, boasts six of the world's top 10 golf players
among its participants.
Justin Rose wants to re-gain the leadership of the world
ranking, taking advantage of the absence of Dustin Johnson.
Tiger Woods is not attending due to a neck strain and
Francesco Molinari is playing his first tournament after joining
California-based golf-equipment giant Callaway.
Rory McIlroy is defending the title in Orlando.
All eyes will be on Molinari on the legendary green of the
Bay Hill Club & Lodge.
The event takes place a month before the Masters Tournament
on April 11-14.
"I am really excited of being part of the Callaway family",
said Molinari.
The 2018 Race to Dubai champion has signed a multiannual
contract with the US giant in order to play at the top level.
The world's golf élite will be competing in Florida with
Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Jason Day (the winner in
2016), Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed, Ian Poulter, Henrik
Stenson and Phil Mickelson among the protagonists.
And Rose will do everything in his power to re-conquer the
top spot.
