(ANSA) - Rome, May 28 - Justin Rose has won the Fort Worth
Invitational, thereby becoming the 3rd-ranked golf player
internationally.
He took the place of Jordan Spieth on the podium, who was
surpassed by Jon Rahm as well.
The Brit dominated the Texas competition, gaining his 9th win
on the PGA Tour thanks to a showing that ended with 260 (66 64
66 64, -20), three over Brooks Koepka, 2nd at -17.
Third place went to the Argentine Emiliano Grillo (-16), 4th
to the American Kevin Na (-14).
Rahm finished in 5th place (-10) alongside Kevin Tway and the
South African Louis Oostuhizen, all far from Rome, the Olympic
champion at Rio 2016.
Rickie Fowler came in 14th (-7), while Spieth came in 32nd in
the final rankings (-5).
After his win in the WGC HSBC Championship of Shanghai and
one in the Turkish Open (European Tour), this marks Rose's third
win this season.
