"Poland, Hungary, and Slovenia
have too much to lose by blocking a procedure that is vital for
the EU. I believe that we will reach a compromise." Italy's
Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said on "Radio Anch'io,"
answering a question about the Recovery Fund ahead of the
European Council meeting. "We must ban as soon as possible the
right of veto that blocks the procedure: Italy, which is
expecting 209 bn, can no longer be hostage to three countries
that receive a lot of European funds", he added.
