(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, AUGUST 27 - The fourth edition of the
International festival on 'feminist art' Chouftouhonna will be
held in Tunis on September 6-9 at the Palais du Thétre National
Tunisien, in Halfaouine square in the heart of the capital. The
event includes performances, conferences, laboratories and
sessions of music. A total of 150 artists from around the world
will attend the event aimed at using art to discuss women's
issues and feminism, encouraging women artists, regardless of
their education, social class, ethnicity and potential
disabilities.
This new edition, which is free and open to the public,
includes Soukouhonna'' (crafts fair), a tattoo space and two
evenings dedicated to electronic music.
During the festival, a networking event has also been planned
so artists, sponsors and Tunisian and foreign partners can meet.
This edition of the festival also vies to cross borders, visible
and invisible, to focus on feminist and gender issues.
Chouftouhonna was created in 2015 by association ''Chouf'',
which works to promote women's rights. (ANSAmed)
