Premier Giuseppe Conte and the
president of the national council of Libya's government of
national accord, Fajez al-Serraj, on Friday agreed "to pursue,
with every possible effort, the maximum involvement of all local
and international actors who have at heart the positive
evolution of the situation in Libya, in the interest of its
population and its institutions".
Conte, a note from his office said, had a "long and detailed
meeting" with al-Serraj during which various issues were
examined in view of the November 12-13 conference on Libya in
Palermo.
