There has been a "fracture" between
the UK and Europe no matter what the outcome of the Brexit
referendum is, Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan said Thursday.
"There has already been a fracture and a very clear one. There
will be different consequences depending on the outcome but it
won't in any case be the same path as if there had never been a
referendum. We won't be able to say 'let's carry on as if
nothing had happened'." Britain is voting whether to stay in or
leave the EU Thursday with the Remain camp slightly ahead in the
last polls.
