Moscow supports "an
exclusively peaceful resolution of that most serious crisis,
that tragedy," in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey
Lavrov told students on Monday.
Speaking at the Moscow State Institute of International
Relations, Lavrov said he hopes the meetings planned between
negotiators on Monday will be dedicated above all to finding an
immediate unconditional ceasefire.
Lavrov also said that Moscow is ready to appeal to the
World Trade Organization regarding its opposition to the
retroactive introduction of the EU third energy package, which
Moscow sees as penalizing Russian energy giant Gazprom by
forcing it to permit third parties to access its gas pipelines
abroad.
